Written for a concert of Alea III, on which the songs were premiered by soprano Susan Lambert and pianist Thomas Stumpf. Subsequent performances Utah Composers Consortium, Crosscurrents, Amy Lalime with the composer, Nancy Armstrong with Anthony Tommasini.
